Monday 16th – Friday 20th November
National Safeguarding Week is an annual event held in November. The aim of the week is to raise awareness about safeguarding issues and to reinforce the message that ‘safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility’.
This year’s regional theme will focus on Social Isolation.
Safeguarding Week Programme of Events
National Safeguarding Week is an opportunity to raise awareness amongst professionals and also the community by hosting training opportunities, raising awareness events or even information stalls.
The Final Programme of Events provides details of the activities taking place during National Safeguarding Week and how you can book a place.
The United Nations ‘Elimination of violence against women and girls’ day is 25th November. This day is also known as ‘White Ribbon day’. We have arranged a series on online events between 23rd November – 10th December 2020 to raise awareness of violence against women, domestic abuse and sexual violence and the services and interventions available across the region for victims, survivors and for those who perpetrate harm.
