Report concerns
If you are concerned and believe the child or vulnerable adult is in immediate danger contact the Police on 999.
If you have concerns regarding the conduct or behaviour of a professional, member of staff or volunteer in contact with children or vulnerable adults (or who manages / supervises or influences services) you must report that concern to Social Services or the Police.
Agencies must not undertake their own internal child protection enquires, or make their own internal decisions about whether it is a disciplinary issue or a child protection matter but refer any concerns to Social Services or the Police.
